Expert Witness Service

Our extensive experience in managing the complex property and affairs of individuals who have received a compensation award as a result of personal injury or clinical negligence means that we are well placed to assist litigation solicitors and advise them in respect of the likely costs of both making an application to the Court of Protection and ongoing professional Deputyship fees.

We understand that it is crucial to ensure that an accurate value is apportioned to these fees in a schedule of loss so that the Claimant does not have to utilise other parts of their award to pay for these costs later on. This can be critical to ensure that a damages award can be sustained for the lifetime of the injured person.

What is the role of an expert witness?

Our experts act for litigation solicitors in providing expert evidence in the form of a report or witness statement for the Court in litigation proceedings. They can also advise and comment on evidence submitted by the other side. Our experts are willing and able to attend joint discussions, conference and even trials and tribunals where necessary.

The role of an expert witness is vital to ensure that the funds awarded are not limited.
