Stacey is a Partner in the family team. She advises UK and international clients on matters involving all aspects of family law, in particular complex financial issues and private children cases.  Stacey is also a mediator and works with couples to help them resolve practical and legal issues arising from their separation without the need to attend court.
 

Stacey is named as an Associate to Watch in Chambers and Partners High Net Worth 2022 and a Rising Star in the Legal 500 2023. She is also listed as Recommended in the Spears Family Law Index 2025. She was shortlisted as Associate of the Year in the Family Awards 2020.  Stacey has a breadth of experience in advising clients on cross border issues, and has spoken at several conferences about the impact of Brexit on family law matters.  She was a member of the historical Brexit Working Party to the Resolution International Committee and Property, Tax and Pensions Committee, a group of lawyers formed to consider the impact Brexit will have on family legislation in England & Wales.  In 2022 she was the runner up for the International Academy of Family Lawyers’ Young Lawyer’s Award.  She works closely with Kingsley Napley’s immigration team to support clients where family and immigration issues need to be considered in tandem.

Stacey takes a holistic approach to her cases, and frequently works with other experts such as therapists, coaches and financial experts to ensure clients have the support they need.  Her goal is to achieve the best outcome for the client to ensure they can move forward with their lives in a positive manner.

As a mediator Stacey is named as a Next Generation in The Legal 500 2023.  She takes a compassionate approach to her cases, and frequently works with other experts in a collaborative manner (for example IFAs, accountants, therapists and solicitors) as part of the mediation process where this is beneficial to the clients. 

Stacey has particular expertise in advising on:

  • international family issues and cross border disputes, including jurisdiction disputes and/or proceedings in multiple countries
  • complex financial issues (including cases with trust arrangements) 
  • private children cases, including child relocation, intractable contact disputes and cases involving allegations of parental alienation
  • nuptial agreements

After reading law at the University of Sussex, Stacey completed the Legal Practice Course at BPP London with distinction. She joined Kingsley Napley in 2016 and was promoted to Partner in 2023.

In her spare time Stacey enjoys walking her lurcher, Charlie and Norman, and watching various sport, including rugby, tennis and hockey.

Recent work includes:

  • MA v Roux [2024] EWHC 1917 (Fam) - considering the correct test to be used for strike out applications (in the context of an application to set aside a financial remedies order)
  • HH v UH [2023] EWHC 3490 (Fam) - father's application for the summary return of the children to the UAE 
  • A v B [2023] EWFC 241 (B) - acting for the respondent husband in Part III proceedings following divorce proceedings in New Zealand, securing an outcome in line with the husband's proposal
  • RC v JC [2020] EWHC 466 (Fam) - represented the wife in her successful claim for compensation for relationship generated disadvantage
  • De Gafforj [2018] EWCA Civ 2070 - Interlocutory application in the Court of Appeal, successfully obtaining a “Hadkinson Order” to immediately dismiss the husband’s appeal against an Order that England & Wales has jurisdiction in the event he failed to purge his contempt of a previous court order within 14 days, and to lift the stay on the wife’s Petition for Divorce in England & Wales
  • Arbili v Arbili [2015] EWCA Civ 542 
  • UL v BK [2013] EWHC 1735 (Fam)
  • Acting for an Iraqi business man in contested financial remedy proceedings involving a Jersey Trust, an extensive property portfolio and valuable business assets
  • Representing a mother in her successful application seeking permission to relocate permanently to the USA with the parties’ child, resolving the financial matters in tandem.  Agreement on both was reached at a successful round table meeting, settling the court proceedings on both matters.
  • Providing expert legal opinion for use in Canadian court proceedings.
  • Providing written legal advice to Trustees on the treatment of trust assets on divorce, in contemplation of a new settlement.
  • Acting for a wife in committal proceedings against her husband for non-payment of maintenance
  • General family law, including divorce proceedings, cohabitation agreements, pre-nuptial agreements, non-molestation orders and injunction proceedings
