Tier 1 (Post Study Work) to remain open until April 2012
The UK Border Agency (UKBA) has recently announced that it will close the Post Study Work route to new entrants from April 2012. The closure of Tier 1 (Post Study Work) has been expected for some time so it will come as some comfort to current students and graduate employers that the route is to remain open for another year.

UKBA invites all PBS Sponsors to request their unrestricted Certificate of Sponsorship allocation for the year 2011/2012
The UK Border Agency has requested that all sponsors complete and return a UKBA form to request their allocation of unrestricted Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS) for the year from 6 April 2011 to 5 April 2012.

UKBA confirms new Tier 2 rules
On 16th February 2011, the UKBA released its Statement of Intent on proposed changes to the Tier 2 of the PBS which will come into effect on 6 April 2011.
