IWD: 100 years of change – a celebration of women’s rights
This year is the 100 year anniversary of (some) women achieving the right to vote and all women being entitled to stand for Parliament. This blog is a celebration of some of the achievements of women since then, and some suggestions as to how we should #PressForProgress this year.

IWD: For the guilty working mother
I am 54 and have always worked as a Lawyer. I have two grown-up sons and when one of them was visiting recently I asked, at a relaxed moment, whether he had been aware that I was working extremely hard when he was young ( running a team of medical negligence lawyers, often working at weekend and in the evenings after bedtime). His response was an unequivocal yes.

IWD: We need to talk about Non-Disclosure Agreements
Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) form an integral part of commercial life. If two businesses want to merge or even just enter into a contractual relationship, it is standard practice that their discussions are protected by a NDA. In the modern world information is both power and money so it is not surprising and entirely legitimate that organisations and individuals seek to protect their interests in this way.

IWD: We need to talk about periods *blush*
Every day, women all over the world are taking part in a monthly “walk of shame”. Each of us has a preference for how we smuggle our tampon or pad to the toilet, be it the tried and perfected method of taking a handbag to the toilet or hiding a tampon up a sleeve.
