Cybercrime - what should your business do to protect itself?

Mornings for some consist of checking Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, work and personal email accounts before leaving the house.  Throughout the day a large number of us will go on to check our bank balance, book a restaurant, do our food shopping, deal with clients, book our next holiday or train home, all online.  But, do we really know how secure our data is and who has access to it?

Misuse of private information – anonymised tracking, profiling and targeting

Crowdfunding: A quick guide to the new restrictions and protections

A set of new consumer protections are due to come into force on 01 April 2014.

New restrictions will apply to two types of crowdfunding- loan-based (lending to individuals or businesses in exchange for interest payment and capital repayment) and investment (equity) based (typically in Company’s in exchange for shares, debt securities or other “non-readily realisable assets”).

Maybe you’ll start your own business? Being your own boss is the aspect of entrepreneurship which attracts most people. After all, most people’s bosses are just, well, a bit bossy. You would make a much better boss. You are nice and you would never tell yourself off for pressing the snooze button for an extra ten minutes in bed or crawling into work late, smelling like a brewery, in yesterday’s clothes.
