Legal 500 UK 2022

Rebecca Niblock is a specialist in extradition and white-collar crime, advising high-net-worth individuals, business leaders, and family offices on complex, multi-jurisdictional legal and regulatory challenges. She has extensive experience acting in politically sensitive extradition cases, INTERPOL Red Notices, mutual legal assistance requests and other cross-border enforcement actions, with a particular focus on requests originating from the United States, EU member states, India, the GCC, and the CIS.

Her practice focuses on defending clients in high-stakes financial crime matters, including allegations of fraud, bribery, corporate investigations, and regulatory enforcement. She advises individuals and their advisers on asset denial risks and works closely with reputation management colleagues at the intersection of regulatory and reputational risk, ensuring a proactive approach to mitigating exposure across multiple jurisdictions. Given the parallel legal, political, and reputational threats enforcement actions often present, she collaborates with other specialist advisers to provide a comprehensive defence and crisis management strategy.

Rebecca is actively engaged in the legal discourse on cross-border criminal matters, financial crime, and enforcement trends, frequently speaking at international forums and collaborating with leading advisers to HNWIs and family offices.

Rebecca has co-written one of the leading practitioner texts on extradition law, now in its third edition.
