13 April 2026

Kingsley Napley’s Corporate, Commercial and Finance team has successfully advised Erik Gilbert and Greg Delaney, founders of Entertainment Intelligence and Babel Ops, on the sale of their businesses to Secretly Distribution, part of the Secretly Group family of independent music companies based in Bloomington, Indiana.

The transaction brings together complementary capabilities in music data analytics and business intelligence, creating a powerful proposition for independent music businesses worldwide. Entertainment Intelligence's platform currently enables reporting for more than 1 million artists across over 50,000 labels, whilst Babel Ops specialises in building bespoke data management, analytics and royalty processing tools for independent music companies.

The team, led by partner Glafkos Tombolis and supported by associate Mei Chung, provided comprehensive legal advice to the founders throughout the structuring and implementation of this strategic transaction.

Commenting on the deal, Glafkos Tombolis, said:

We are delighted to have advised Erik and Greg on this exciting transaction. The strategic rationale behind this deal is compelling; both parties share a clear vision of empowering small and medium-sized independent music businesses with market-leading analytics and business intelligence. This acquisition represents a significant step forward in democratising access to sophisticated data tools within the independent music sector.”

This transaction demonstrates Kingsley Napley's continued strength in advising founders and entrepreneurs in the creative industries and technology sectors, particularly where innovative data-driven businesses are reshaping traditional markets.
