Mei is an Associate in the Corporate, Commercial and Finance team and joined Kingsley Napley in August 2021 from a regional firm. She advises entrepreneurs, investors and established businesses across a variety of sectors on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters.
 

Her core areas of expertise include:

  • Startup/scaleup investments – advising startups/scaleups, founders and investors on equity raises throughout the investment process including structuring funding rounds, drafting and negotiating investment documents, conducting due diligence and addressing regulatory compliance;
  • Mergers and acquisitions – providing strategic counsel through share and asset sales and purchases, MBOs and group restructurings throughout the transaction process including negotiating and documenting key terms, providing guidance through the due diligence and disclosure process and drafting and negotiating transaction documents; and
  • Corporate advisory – offering guidance and comprehensive advice on a wide range of corporate matters including business structures, company formations, corporate governance, shareholders’/partnership agreements and directors’ duties.

Mei focuses on delivering practical solutions to meet the unique needs of her clients and believes in building lasting relationships based on trust, respect and open communication, enabling her to meet the needs of business throughout their whole lifecycle.

Mei is a member of the firm’s REACH & Allies group, Social Mobility group and Asia Pacific services group and has worked on Amicus projects, helping to secure equal access to justice for those facing the death penalty in the US.
