Our private client team are supporting the National Forest's plant a tree campaign, so for every Will we're asked to draft we'll fund the planting of a tree.
New Will clients, including those who instruct us to draft a Statutory Will, will be given the choice of six trees - Oak, Lime, Hazel, Silver Birch, Rowan or Wild Cherry - to be planted in the National Forest, which is a 200 square mile forest in the heart of the country, spanning parts of Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Staffordshire.
In an increasingly paperless society, the writing of a Will is still done on paper. Although much discussion has taken place on whether digital wills will be permissible in the future, for now at least, this is unlikely to happen.
Therefore by using paper to write our clients' wills, we also want to give back in a way that promotes a greener and healthier future as well as leaving a lasting legacy.
Forest restoration is a key strategy for helping to stop global warming but at present Britain is lagging behind. However, the National Forest has planted almost 9 million trees so far and, as part of our responsible business pledge, we are pleased to support their tree planting initiative.
