Press release: Kingsley Napley advises on company listings on AIM and the LSE

21 January 2021

Kingsley Napley advised on two company listings at the end of December.

We advised Vector Capital Plc on its admission to AIM on 29 December 2020 and a placing of shares which raised an additional £3 million of capital.

The business is a commercial lending group that offers secured loans primarily to UK businesses. The Vector Capital group’s customers typically borrow for general working capital purposes, bridging, land development and acquisition.

Separately Kingsley Napley also advised Wildcat Petroleum Limited on its admission to the Official List and the Standard Segment of the London Stock Exchange on 30 December 2020 with a connected offer for subscription to raise £600,000.

Wildcat is an investment vehicle which will seek to invest in within the upstream sector of the petroleum industry such as exploration, appraisal, development and production of oil and gas.

Kingsley Napley partner John Young, who led the advisory team on both transactions, comments:

We are delighted to have advised Vector on its successful fundraising and AIM admission. Notwithstanding the COVID pandemic, we expect to see an increasing number of IPOs this year.”

We are also excited to have advised Wildcat on its admission to the Standard Segment of the London Stock Exchange, and look forward to continuing to work with them as they seek a target for investment.”

John Young joined the Corporate & Commercial team of Kingsley Napley in October 2020 and hit the ground running. He specialises in the business needs of entrepreneurial, high growth and family businesses, advising them throughout their lifecycle - from startup to listing and beyond.

The firm’s Corporate & Commercial practice is growing and busy across the board including for equity markets advisory work. It advises a wide range of listed companies and their advisers on initial public offerings, fundraisings, reverse takeovers and other acquisitions, capital reductions, on-going compliance and other legal matters.
