John Young is a partner in the Corporate, Commercial, and Finance team, specialising in the business needs of entrepreneurial, high-growth, and family businesses. He specialises in M&A and fundraisings, with a particular focus on M&A transactions in the £5m-100m enterprise value range and private and capital markets fundraises between £500,000 and £20m, often with a cross-border element.
Natalie Grumhaus joined Tri-Merit in 2023 as an attorney, based out of Southern Michigan. Natalie is a Director in Audit/Compliance and supports General Counsel work, as well. She graduated Michigan State College of Law in 2023 with a Juris Doctor with a certificate in Arts and Cultural Management, and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Hillsdale College in Philosophy and Fine Art. Natalie has spent many years in various customer service roles and, prior to joining Tri-Merit, has spent time working in both criminal and civil litigation. She is passionate about making sure that our company and our clients remain as protected from litigation as possible, as well as ensuring success should litigation occur. In her free time, Natalie loves gardening, hiking with her husband and dog, and is an amateur beekeeper.
Phil Williams is currently a Partner at Tri-Merit. Since joining Tri-Merit in 2011, Phil has worked with more than 600 companies in identifying, calculating, documenting, and defending research and development credits at both the federal and State levels. Since being promoted to partner in 2018, his primary responsibilities have included leadership of both the engineering team as well as the audit defense/tax controversy teams.
