The UKBA has published changes to the list of approved English language test providers that can be relied upon by those making applications to come to the UK under Tiers 1, 2 and 4.
Following a recent change in the UKBA application forms, those applying for ILR in the UK as a dependant now need to provide supporting documents with their applications showing that the couple have lived together for at least two years.
Since 18 July 2011, the arrangements for those taking the Life in the UK test have changed. Applicants must now register for, book and pay for their test online.
A further set of changes to Tier 4 of the points-based system is due to take effect from 4 July 2011.
The UKBA warned recently that visa processing times at some of its posts abroad are currently longer than their published time-scales.
