Life at Kingsley Napley

It’s not all work and no play at Kingsley Napley. We have a very active social life within the firm and have a dedicated entertainments committee who organise events throughout the year.

These are two big events, the Christmas party and either a summer or Halloween party, as well as smaller events throughout the year (e.g. pizza nights to watch the rugby world cup, Easter egg hunts) providing opportunities to mingle and have fun with others from around the firm. We also have annual promotion parties in May and September to celebrate legal and business support promotions.

Each practice area and department has an annual social budget to socialise as a team and receive a contribution towards a team Christmas lunch.

At Kingsley Napley, we have a number of sports teams and activities which provide a chance to get together over a common interest. These are:

  • Netball team
  • Football team
  • KN Choir
  • On site yoga and meditation classes

Network groups

We have network groups across all levels of the firm to facilitate inter-departmental working, as well as to create opportunities to collaborate, share knowledge and socialise and get to know your colleagues.

The network groups are for:

  • Fixed-share equity partners
  • Lawyers group (including legal assistants and paralegals)
  • Business support managers
  • Business support team members

The groups meet on a regular basis and the firm’s Managing Partner and Senior Partner attend each groups meeting twice a year to discuss firm wide activities and plans, take feedback on firm initiatives and cover anything raised by the group. It is also a good chance to discuss new ideas and share ways in which the groups have worked together on projects or initiatives.

Kingsley Napley also have a Responsible Business Committee and four network groups within that; Diversity & Inclusion, Charities & Community, Pro-bono and Environment. Read more about the RBC and the associated groups.
