Tom advises on all aspects of family law, with a particular focus on complex financial cases and those with an international element.


He has particular experience in advising on the following matters:

  • Divorce, dissolution and judicial separation proceedings, including jurisdiction and forum disputes. 
  • Complex financial disputes involving disclosure issues, companies, trust assets, and cross-border elements.
  • Financial claims after overseas divorce (Part III).
  • Drafting and challenging prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.
  • All issues concerning the arrangements for children.

Tom studied Classics at the University of Oxford before completing his GDL and LPC at BPP University Law School. He trained and qualified at Vardags before joining Kingsley Napley in 2026. 

 

Recent cases

  • TY v XA (No. 3) [2025] EWFC 350 – Acting for the wife in securing a costs order for 70% of her costs (over £1 million).
  • TY v XA (No. 2) [2025] EWFC 349 – Acting for the wife in successfully varying an order made by a German court to ensure that her and the children’s needs could be met.
  • TY v XA [2024] EWFC 96 – Acting for the wife in successfully dismissing the husband’s second application to set aside her grant of leave to apply for financial relief under Part III.
