Sarah is a Senior Associate in the Regulatory team. Sarah is primarily responsible for investigating and preparing cases on behalf of various regulatory bodies. Sarah leads investigations on behalf of the Architects Registration Board (ARB), General Dental Council (GDC) and Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA). Sarah is ranked as a ‘Rising Star’ in Legal 500 2023.
 

Sarah is responsible for leading complex investigations on behalf of regulatory bodies within the built environment, education and health & social care sectors. Sarah’s cases often involve a multitude of issues that require her to exercise a forensic, yet pragmatic, approach to investigations. Sarah’s work on behalf of the ARB involves investigating a variety of complex cases often relating to high value architectural projects or matters of misconduct. She is particularly experienced in investigating complex cases involving practitioner dishonesty.

Prior to joining Kingsley Napley in 2017, Sarah acted on behalf of medical defence organisations representing doctors, dentists and other healthcare professionals. The scope of Sarah’s work included advising on disciplinary, criminal, coronial and regulatory matters. Having experience in acting for both regulated individuals and regulatory bodies, Sarah brings a well-rounded approach to cases, balancing the requirement for a robust investigation with the need for proportionality and empathy.

Sarah undertakes pro bono work for the charity Amicus. Since 2018 Sarah has jointly led a team of volunteers at Kingsley Napley working on a project with Florida International University monitoring active Murder-1 and Death Penalty cases in Florida.
