Sam joined Kingsley Napley in March 2023. Prior to joining the firm, Sam studied History and Politics at the University of Edinburgh and worked as a Law Reporter for a leading legal publication. Sam was promoted to Senior Paralegal in April 2025.


Sam assists the Family Team with cases dealing with all aspects of family law issues, including divorce proceedings, the division of finances and arrangements for children. Many of the cases that Sam assists with involve complex financial issues and international elements. Sam builds a strong rapport with his clients, frequently attending meetings and court hearings.

Sam volunteers for the Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre at the Family Law Clinic. During his studies, Sam supported individuals at court as part of the McKenzie Friends programme and assisted survivors of domestic abuse with making applications for emergency injunctions via the National Centre for Domestic Violence.

  • PS v NB [2023] EWHC 3485 (Fam) - Successfully acting for a wife in high value and complex financial proceedings, in her interim applications for maintenance and historic and ongoing legal fees from the husband.

Although Sam is a proud Yorkshireman, he is a lifelong Liverpool FC fan and a long-suffering Welsh rugby supporter.
