Harriet is a Trainee Solicitor at Kingsley Napley and is currently in her first seat in the Regulatory Team.
 

Prior to commencing her training contract, Harriet spent a year working in Kingsley Napley’s Public Law team as a Paralegal.

Before joining Kingsley Napley, Harriet read Modern Languages and Cultures (German and Spanish) at Durham University, graduating with a First Class Honours and obtaining teaching experience in Germany on her year abroad. She subsequently undertook a Law Conversion Master’s and SQE programme at the University of Law, for which she obtained a High Distinction.

Harriet has a particular interest in social justice and environmental issues. She has done a placement at Amicus ALJ as a casework officer for US Death Penalty cases, and is now involved in firmwide pro bono schemes such as Queen Mary Legal Advice Clinic. She previously held positions as Environment and Ethics Officer for her college at Durham University, and Executive Events Officer for SolidariTee, a student-led charity raising awareness on the refugee ‘crisis’ and providing support for organisations offering legal aid.

Harriet has recently been appointed to the Junior Lawyers’ Committee of the Human Rights Lawyers Association (HRLA) where she assists on three core projects aimed at providing experience to aspiring human rights lawyers, and contributes to the Association’s wider endeavours to increase understanding of human rights and aid their effective implementation within the UK legal framework.
