Emily Stock is an Associate in Kingsley Napley’s Financial Services Group, specialising in advising on all FCA-related matters.
With over seven years’ pre- and post-qualification experience working at the regulator, she offers clients valuable insights into FCA processes and expectations.
During her time at the FCA, Emily worked on a wide range of cases including contested authorisation refusals and supervisory intervention action, such as the imposition of own-initiative requirements, applications for civil freezing orders and proactive insolvency action. She also advised on applications to remove final notices and vary prohibition orders, as well as conducted legal reviews of enforcement investigations. Emily has worked on a number of cases before the Upper Tribunal and High Court.
Emily’s experience also includes secondments to the Financial Services Regulatory & Legal team at a large professional services firm, advising clients on the regulatory perimeter and broader regulatory obligations, and the Restructuring & Insolvency team at a global law firm, working on both contentious and non-contentious insolvency matters.
Emily graduated from the University of Nottingham with a first-class degree in Industrial Economics. She subsequently completed the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Solicitors Qualifying Examination.
