David trained as a solicitor with Kingsley Napley, was a partner in the Litigation Department for many years and is now a member of the Management Team.
As General Counsel, he heads up the firm’s Legal, Compliance and Risk functions, and he also provides advice and guidance to partners and lawyers in all the firm’s practice areas as required.
The Solicitors Regulation Authority has also authorised him to act as the firm’s Compliance Officer for Legal Practice pursuant to the requirements of the Legal Services Act 2007.
David’s management responsibilities include corporate governance, legal and regulatory compliance, risk management, dispute resolution and general practice management.
His legal experience covers a broad range of commercial, civil, criminal and regulatory cases and it extends to litigation, arbitration, mediation, public inquiries and many types of investigation.
A large number of his cases have had an international aspect to them, many of them have attracted media interest and several of them have been reported in the law reports.
