Chaahat advises on distressed and solvent restructurings, corporate insolvency processes, insolvency disputes and bankruptcies.
Her experience includes:
- Transactional assignments including pre-packaged sales and corporate restructurings and reorganisations.
- Reviewing creditor securities, evaluating enforcement options available to secured lenders and advising on the validity of officeholder appointments.
- Contentious matters e.g., pursuing or defending multiple complex claims under the Insolvency Act 1986 and Companies Act 2006, including director misfeasance, transactions at an undervalue and preferences.
Chaahat studied Law and Business at the University of Warwick and subsequently completed the LLM Legal Practice Course at BPP University.
