Andrea practised for many years as a barrister from a leading civil and public law chambers, following which she took a maternity career break. Whilst at the Bar, she developed particular expertise in public law and human rights (including judicial review and damages claims), professional discipline, inquests and indirect tax. She was instructed on several high-profile and complex matters and appeared in a wide variety of courts and tribunals, including the Supreme Court (as junior counsel).
She has a First Class degree in Modern History from Oxford University.
