Well done to Ryan Mowat, who was today named Lawyer of the Week in The Times. The Times recognised Ryan after acting for Crockfords Casino against the poker player Phil Ivey in the Supreme Court. The five justices — overturning the longstanding criminal test for dishonesty in favour of the civil test — ruled unanimously that Ivey cheated when he “won” £7.7 million in a game of Punto Banco baccarat.
