Kingsley Napley is pleased to announce that Sital Fontenelle has been appointed to Head of its award-winning* Family & Divorce team with effect from 1 March 2024.
A partner with the firm since 2018, Sital specialises in the complex financial aspects of a divorce, negotiating and drafting of nuptial agreements as well as private children law cases. She typically acts for high net worth individuals, often on cases involving an international dimension, offshore trusts, family businesses, inherited wealth or asset tracing. She is also highly experienced in complex children cases.
Sital is an active member of the Resolution Cohabitation committee and regularly speaks at international conferences on wealth protection and trusts. She is a recognised leader in her field in legal directories, including the Chambers Ultra High Net Worth Guide, Legal 500 UK, Chambers UK (finance and children) and Spears. As well as being 'Recommended' in the Spear's 2023 Family Law Index, she won silver in the Woman of the Year - Future Leaders (Partner) category at the Powerwomen Awards 2020.
Sital succeeds Charlotte Bradley who is stepping back from team management responsibilities after 10 years to focus on client work. Charlotte is unique in being band 1 ranked in the legal directories in three different areas of expertise; Ultra High Net Worth Finance, Family/Children Law, and Mediation; She is an accredited mediator and co-author of the go-to text book on Schedule 1 for family law practitioners.
Under Charlotte’s leadership, Kingsley Napley’s Family & Divorce team has been consistently recognised by Chambers UHNW, Chambers UK and Legal 500 as a leader in its field. It comprises 22 lawyers who provide a full family law service acting for couples beginning their married or co-habiting relationship, separating, planning a family, relocating, facing court proceedings or requiring non-court options.
