Iain Miller, partner in Kingsley Napley's Regulatory team, comments in The Times Law article today on rising reports of harassment claims across law firms.
“Solicitors play an important part in the settlement of employment disputes and it is right that the Law Society has reminded solicitors that they owe duties to the court and the wider public in the terms they negotiate.
“However, many NDAs are negotiated by human resources departments or through trade unions and it is important that everyone understands that they need to be careful to ensure that these agreements are not used to cover up sexual misconduct or discrimination.”
