The UKBA warned recently that visa processing times at some of its posts abroad are currently longer than their published time-scales.
Delays are being experienced in Russia in relation to all types of visa application, in Pakistan and India due to an increase in Tier 4 (Student) applications and in China a large number of visitor visa applications means these are taking longer to be processed than normal. Those anticipating needing to apply for a UK visa should submit their applications as early as they are able to in these countries, up to a maximum of three months before their intended travel date.
