Reflections on The Split – S2, E5: Sex tapes, bugging and workplace relationships
In this episode, the fallout from Hannah and Christie’s affair continues to escalate. The sex tape (containing images of Fi, her husband (Richie) and the nanny) has been leaked to the tabloids; Fi spent the night with her lawyer, Christie, which was subsequently discovered by Richie who has bugged Fi’s house; Richie “abducted” Hannah and Nathan’s children to a rock concert; and Nina, a mum-to-be, faced up to her alcohol addiction.

Reflections on The Split – S2, E4: Child arrangements, adoption and a potential sex tape scandal
This week’s episode of The Split began with high drama between Hannah and Christie following the secret that Nina let slip at the end of the last episode. The issues between Hannah’s client, Fi, and her husband, Richie, continued to develop so Hannah and Christie were forced to work together despite their personal differences. Fi and Richie couldn’t agree on the arrangements for their three children so a joint meeting was arranged with their lawyers.

Reflections on The Split – S2, E2: A French love affair and a race to court
This week’s episode of The Split gave us further insight into the Hansens’ family life with red flags starting to show in respect of Richie’s behaviour towards Fi. Towards the end of the episode, Hannah makes reference to controlling and coercive behaviour – a topic we have previously blogged about here. We will watch to see how that storyline develops and what advice and assistance Hannah is able to provide to Fi to extricate her from what is starting to look like a deeply troubling relationship.

Reflections on The Split - Episode 6 – The grand finale…
Last night saw a rather emotional finale to the first series of The Split as Hannah appears to turn her back on her marriage and choose Christie over her husband Nathan. It perhaps didn’t end quite as I had expected and I’m sure I wasn’t the only one who was shouting at the TV as Hannah hit the buzzer on Christie’s door! But I’m pleased to hear that the BBC has announced that there will be a second series so who knows yet whether this really is the end for Hannah and Nathan or how the Noble & Hale and Defoes merger will pan out….
