Alfie is an associate in the firm’s Regulatory team.
Alfie specialises in advising a range of regulators and regulated professionals in relation to procedures, governance, compliance, investigations and disciplinary proceedings in the legal, finance, construction, education and healthcare sectors.
In the legal sector, Alfie works across the professions, acting for firms and solicitors as well as barristers and judges. In addition to regulatory litigation, he advises firms on internal investigations, disclosures, AML obligations and sanctions.
Alfie is also part of the specialist team working on matters relating to fire safety law and health & safety, acting for corporate and individual clients dealing with inspections, investigations and enforcement action, in addition to advising on the legal obligations for employers in this area.
Alfie is well-versed in considering the best tactical approach in litigation, bearing in mind the financial and reputational implications of proceedings. He also has a particular interest and expertise in advising students who face behavioural, sexual or academic misconduct allegations brought by their education providers.
Alfie is listed in the Pro Bono Recognition List 2025.
Prior to qualification, Alfie read law at the University of Nottingham, before completing the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law with distinction. He is able to bring a criminal law perspective to regulatory matters, having previously worked for three years in the field of criminal litigation.
