Clarifying CBD Regulations – the horizon looks brighter

The UK's long-anticipated move towards establishing a legal framework for the CBD industry has potentially taken a substantial leap forward. Recently, the government accepted recommendations set forth by the Advisory Council for the Misuse of Drugs (ACMD) regarding permissible levels of controlled cannabinoids in consumer CBD products. Historically, the paramountcy of client confidentiality, to the exclusion of all else, has been instilled in us from the early days of our legal careers.  We think, it’s fair to say, that many of us faced with a request to disclose would instinctively formulate a response that erred on the side of caution and favoured non-disclosure.
