What does a recent Court of Appeal ruling on the case of a sacked Christian school worker mean for businesses?

Eugenie is a Senior Associate in our Employment team. She joined Kingsley Napley in March 2019 following two years at a corporate and commercial law firm based in the City of London.
With experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment work, Eugenie acts for a mixture of corporates and private individuals across a range of sectors, including financial services and the tech space.
Eugenie often advises clients on matters including redundancy, disciplinary and grievance procedures, negotiated exits and the preparation or negotiation of contractual documents. Eugenie also deals with litigation matters, including those involving discrimination.
Eugenie’s experience includes:
- Advising on dismissals;
- Negotiating settlement agreements;
- Advising on contractual disputes, including the enforceability of post-termination restrictions; and
- Drafting employment contracts and staff handbooks.
Eugenie has acted for a diverse range of clients, including a global aerospace and defence company; advertising and PR agencies; tech start-ups and early stage businesses; as well as fostering agencies and charities. Eugenie has also advised many private individuals, including senior executives working in industries ranging from private equity, banking, motor sport and entertainment.
