Kingsley Napley LLP’s Restructuring & Insolvency team is proud to have advised Elite Emergency Medical Services Ltd (t/a Elite EMS) on the purchase of the assets of Polaris Medical Services Ltd from its administrators (Kroll). The deal was completed on 24 April 2023.
Both companies are involved in the provision of independent medical and ambulance services to NHS trusts. Based in Tamworth, Elite EMS has been operating front line emergency and critical care services for six NHS trusts since 2016. It also provides medical cover at a variety of community, sporting and entertainment events.
Founded in 2016, Polaris offered similar services in the Buckingham, Slough and Watford area, and was placed into administration on 23 April 2023.
Both businesses are Care Quality Commission regulated and Home Office licensed.
Commenting on the acquisition, Daniel Sejas, Head of Restructuring and Insolvency at Kingsley Napley says:
“This is a good outcome for all interested parties, preserving vital community services, ensuring 95 ambulances remain ‘on the road’, and safeguarding approximately 140 jobs. It consolidates Elite Medical’s position as one of the largest blue light ambulance providers in the South East of England. We are delighted to have played a role in bringing this deal to its conclusion.”
