Our Expertise
Freedom of Information/Environmental Information
Overview
Information solicitors advising individuals, public authorities and businesses on transparency obligations.
Our team has extensive experience advising upon requests made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) and Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIR).
Both the FOIA and EIR provide access to information held by public bodies. Information can be obtained in two ways, either because the public authority must publish information about its activities, or because it has received a written request for information from a member of the public, and which is not covered by an exemption.
We act for both those making requests and public authorities responding to FOIA and EIR requests, as well as advising businesses and senior officials impacted by the exercise of these rights.
