Spring Clean: Immigration and Employment Audit Service

Our Spring clean audit service provides an opportunity for us to check whether your HR policies and procedures are compliant from both an immigration and employment law perspective. We can tailor the audit to your particular needs. You may wish to have a full comprehensive audit or mini health check. An indication of the audit services we can provide are shown below.

Immigration audit services

  • Reviewing your prevention of illegal working policy
  • Reviewing your sponsor licence to ensure reports are up to date
  • Checking the key personnel on your licence are up to date and compliant
  • Reviewing a selection of employee files from an immigration perspective
  • Providing a mock audit to prepare you for your next Home Office compliance visit
  • Reviewing documents you hold on file for each sponsored worker
  • Reviewing documents you have on file for your sponsor licence
  • Checking you have suitable procedures in place to track sponsored workers and visa expiry dates
  • Discussion of any tricky immigration issues you are currently dealing with

Employment audit services

  • Reviewing your staff handbook to ensure you have suitable policies and procedures in place which are up to date, legally compliant and fit for purpose 
  • Assessing how your business manages particular key employment issues in practice (for example workplace investigations, disciplinaries and grievances, absence and performance management) to ensure it is in line with current law and best practice with a view to minimising the risk of costly employment tribunal claims
  • Reviewing your employment contracts to ensure that you have the right contractual provisions in place to achieve your commercial goals and protect your business interests
  • Identifying any training needs required to promote your business’s culture and create safe and positive working practices, having regard to limiting your business’s exposure to legal liability

After the audit

After the audit we can provide you with a report summarising the audit and its outcome and setting out our recommendations for any improvements. We can then carry out any additional work that may be required to implement our recommendations. We would be happy to follow up with you around 3 - 6 months later to ensure the recommendations have been put in place. 

Pricing

We can offer an agreed fixed fee for our Spring clean audit service. The pricing varies depending on what you wish for us to cover and the volume of documentation for our review. We would be happy to attend your offices for a full or half day on a date of your choosing and your requirements.

If after the audit you would like us to undertake any further work, we can offer a fixed fee quote for this.
