Jess joined Kingsley Napley in September 2019. Prior to commencing her training contract at Kingsley Napley, Jess was a paralegal in the firm's Corporate and Commercial team for just over a year. Currently, Jess is a trainee solicitor in her fourth seat with the the Family and Divorce team. Her previous seats were with the Employment; Corporate and Commercial and Real Estate and Construction teams.
Having sat in both contentious and non-contentious seats throughout her training contract Jess has enjoyed the variety of work that has formed part of her training, whether that be drafting commercial agreements for corporate clients or assisting with the running of and completion of residential house sales. Most recently, Jess has assisted on a high profile sex discrimination case. Aside from work, Jess has participated in some of the firm’s responsible business groups. Specifically, Jess is a member of the firm’s social mobility group and, most recently, has become a mentor as part of the social mobility group's partnership with the Social Mobility Foundation.
Prior to joining the firm Jess worked in the fundraising departments of Macmillan Cancer Support and Comic Relief. She specialised in managing donor relations and delivering large-scale fundraising events in London.
Jess studied History and Classics at Durham University before going on to obtain the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at BPP University.
