Claire is Chief Legal Officer at Kingsley Napley and a Management Board and Senior Leadership Team member.
She leads the legal function at Kingsley Napley in order to implement the firm’s strategy through the provision of necessary legal advice. Claire works alongside the firm’s General Counsel David Smythe, who focuses on risk and compliance for the firm.
Claire has nearly 20 years experience working in private practice as a commercial lawyer, focusing specifically on both contentious and non-contentious technology matters. During her time in private practice, Claire initially qualified as a commercial litigator, advising clients in relation to a wide variety of dispute matters, from insolvency offences to copyright claims. She then transitioned into delivering non-contentious legal services and advice to a vast array of international clients. During this time Claire advising on large cross-border multi million pound software deals, but also acted in the capacity as a quasi General Counsel providing them to global legal and strategic advice.
This diverse background means that Claire is able to provide the wide range of legal strategic advice that Kingsley Napley requires, especially as it grows and continues to evolve.
