New partner boosts Kingsley Napley’s Restructuring & Insolvency team

1 December 2025

Kingsley Napley is pleased to announce that Tristan Cox-Chung has joined as a partner in its Restructuring & Insolvency team.

Tristan joins from Clyde & Co where he spent the last 8 years, latterly as a Legal Director. Earlier he worked at Penningtons Manches Cooper and DMH Stallard.

Tristan specialises in both contentious and non-contentious insolvency situations. His contentious practice often involves dealing with fraud and intricate cross-border disputes, and his non-contentious work includes advising on complex restructurings and assisting with multi-faceted transactions. A number of Tristan’s matters have involved seeking recognition of foreign insolvency processes in England & Wales.

He has acted for insolvency practitioners (UK and offshore), lenders, investors, private equity firms, pension schemes, trustees, directors and corporate clients to navigate complex financial and legal challenges.

Dan Sejas, Head of Kingsley Napley’s Restructuring & Insolvency practice, comments

I am delighted to have Tristan on board. He will be an excellent addition to the team at a time when expert insolvency knowledge is in increasing demand. In particular his experience of matters involving suspected fraud, asset-recovery and dispute is a great fit for Kingsley Napley and means he will be well placed to collaborate with colleagues across the firm.”

Tristan Cox-Chung comments:

I am very much looking forward to working with Dan and others at Kingsley Napley. I have advised all kinds of stakeholders on the risks and issues arising from financial distress and insolvency situations and I am very much looking forward to continuing my practice at a firm known for its expertise in crisis and dispute resolution.”
