23 February 2026

Kingsley Napley is pleased to announce that Silvia Devecchi has joined the firm as a partner in its busy Family & Divorce practice to provide specialist advice to its Italian and international clients

Silvia joins from Mishcon de Reya. Prior to that she worked for Vardags, latterly as a Partner and Head of the Cambridge office.

Silvia advises on all aspects of family law, with particular expertise in complex, high‑value disputes involving international families. Her practice spans both children and financial matters, including cases involving jurisdictional challenges, non‑disclosure, and the valuation and division of business interests. She has significant experience navigating the implications of corporate structures and trusts in matrimonial proceedings, and frequently acts in disputes involving assets across multiple jurisdictions. She is highly skilled in safeguarding matrimonial and non‑matrimonial wealth, both within divorce proceedings and through the drafting of nuptial and cohabitation agreements. Silvia also advises on the intersection between family and immigration law, including relocation and child abduction matters, as well as strategic considerations around timing and cross‑border movement.

A native Italian speaker, and proficient in Spanish and French, Silvia has a strong track record of navigating the interplay between English law and foreign legal systems. Silvia is a Recommended Family Lawyer in Spears’ 500 and has been ranked as a Leading Individual in the Legal 500 since 2021. She is a member of Resolution and the British Italian Law Association.

As a member of Kingsley Napley’s Family & Divorce team, Silvia will collaborate with colleagues in the wider Private Client arena and other divisions to support the firm’s international clients with family law needs.

Sital Fontenelle, Head of Kingsley Napley’s Family & Divorce team comments: “I am delighted Silvia has agreed to join us. Her international experience and expertise are a great fit for us and she will be a fantastic addition to our team.

Silvia comments: “I am thrilled to be joining the highly respected Kingsley Napley Family team with a focus on supporting international families especially those with European connections and interests. Post-Brexit, cross-border disputes involving European parties and assets can be trickier to navigate so it is important to be familiar with the challenges involved and have experience of achieving constructive solutions for clients and their families.”
