December saw the culmination of a major two-year case acting for Aparna Bangur, whose ex-husband was attempting to claim against her family’s wealth in India. The case, she says, ‘is now being used as a warning to “gold-diggers” who think they have an entitlement to the family wealth of the ex by reason of the marriage’.
