The proposed Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill has brought the topic of assisted dying into the spotlight. Join experts Sandra Paul and Katherine Pymont of Kingsley Napley, Ruth Hughes KC of 5 Stone Buildings and Professor Richard Huxtable of the University of Bristol, on Wednesday 15th of July, for an evening seminar examining the criminal and civil law risks arising from assisted dying.
The session will explore:
- how the current legal framework can expose families to potential prosecution and forfeiture;
- the ethical tensions and safeguarding concerns raised by the proposed legislation; and
- the key factors advisers should take into account when supporting clients in this highly sensitive and evolving area.
The seminar will conclude with drinks and an opportunity to network with fellow advisers and speakers.
