Tess advises both employers and employees in the financial services sector – from start-up brokerage firms to senior executives at major international companies and institutions.
Whether advising a nascent business on their first hires or representing a senior executive in complex discrimination litigation, she is able to offer strategic and practical advice.
Her legal career so far has included hands-on experience dealing with Employment Tribunal claims, High Court litigation and appeals in the EAT and Court of Appeal.
Before qualifying as an employment lawyer, she worked within a variety of sectors, including hospitality, retail, arts and media/ publishing, and this has given her insight into how businesses and employment relationships work “on the ground”. She is able to draw on this experience to temper strict legal advice with practical considerations, taking into account operational and personal factors.
