Shardi joined Kingsley Napley in 2017, specialising in professional discipline and regulatory law. She is experienced in investigating and prosecuting on behalf of a number of regulatory bodies, including the Health and Care Professions Council, the Nursing and Midwifery Council and the General Chiropractic Council.
Called to the Bar in 1998, Shardi started her career as criminal barrister at 2, King’s Bench Walk. Subsequently she spent over ten years as a public lawyer, working for HMRC, the Serious Fraud Office and the Organised Crime Division in the Crown Prosecution Service Headquarters. During this time Shardi advised upon a range of high profile, complex and sensitive cases, including internal fraud investigations. She has extensive experience of regulatory matters and is a highly accomplished advocate.
Shardi regularly assists the Education Department at Lincoln’s Inn by providing advocacy and ethics training to student barristers at residential weekends. She is also a member of the Inn’s “pupillage foundation scheme” providing mentoring and career advice to students and barristers attempting to secure pupillage.
Away from work, Shardi has a keen interest in politics, organising discussion dinners and debates for young professionals with high profile guest speakers. She also delights in making handmade artisan chocolates.
