Nicola Noble is a Senior Associate who is currently seconded to Kingsley Napley’s regulatory team from its long-standing client, the Legal Services Board, which is the oversight regulator for legal services regulation. Nicola originally qualified as litigator in private practice, which proved to be the ideal springboard for her later move in-house into regulatory adjudications at the Phone Paid Services Authority, and then to oversight regulation at the Legal Services Board.
Nicola’s current work centres around her legal services regulatory expertise, whereby she supports clients through disciplinary investigations and provides advice on regulatory obligations more generally. Nicola also represents clients outside legal services regulation, in such areas as the accountancy profession and student disciplinary proceedings.
Having worked in regulatory settings for more than a decade, and with experience of building cases against industry members, and assessing the competency of the regulators themselves, Nicola is very well placed to understand how regulators build their cases and whether they do so well. This offers clients a unique perspective into the strength of any disciplinary procedures that might be raised against them, and the strategies to take for the best possible outcome.
