Nicola is the Head of the Regulatory and Professional Discipline Practice Area; responsible for a team of over 50 solicitors, barristers, legal assistants, paralegals and support whom advise individuals, organisations and regulatory bodies in all spheres.

Nicola has a substantial regulatory and professional discipline practice.  Her focus is on healthcare regulation and in particular advising the Health and Care Professions Council for whom she has acted since 2003.

She also has experience acting for the General Dental Council, Security Industry Authority and the National College for Teaching and Leadership and its predecessor bodies.

She sits as a Clerk to the Professional Conduct Committee of the Architects Registration Board.

Nicola is a solicitor advocate having obtained her Higher Rights of Audience in May 2007.

She heads up a team of extremely talented lawyers advising and prosecuting on behalf of regulators and organisations and defending professionals facing action by their regulator.

Nicola was the Kingsley Napley Trainee Principal between 2011 and 2016 and had responsibility for the recruitment, training and retention of our 13 trainee solicitors

As President of the LCCSA Nicola (represented by Kingsley Napley’s Public Law team) took successful Judicial Review proceedings against the Lord Chancellor Chris Grayling and his proposed changes to publically funded criminal legal aid.
