Magda is an associate lawyer in the Criminal Litigation team. She deals with all areas of general crime, financial and business crime, international crime and investigations.
Prior to joining Kingsley Napley, Magda worked as an adviser with the Refugee Council and with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in the Middle East, Asia, and Europe. She was also a Research Fellow with the Siracusa International Institute for Criminal Justice and Human Rights. Her work with UNHCR focused on international protection and advising on complex asylum claims, which engaged the application of international criminal and humanitarian law. These cases involved applicants, for whom there were serious reasons for considering that they committed war crimes, crimes against humanity and other serious crimes, thus engaging provisions of exclusion clauses in the 1951 Refugee Convention.
Magda completed her training contract with Kingsley Napley, having joined the firm in 2018. She holds a Master’s degree in Refugee Studies and completed a Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course, both with distinction. She is a native Polish speaker.
