Ellen Murtagh joined Kingsley Napley in August 2018 as a Legal Assistant in the Regulatory team.
Ellen investigates and prepares fitness to practise cases relating to professional misconduct, conviction, ill-health and lack of competence on behalf of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and cases relating to unacceptable professional conduct and serious professional incompetence on behalf of the Education Workforce Council (EWC) and Architects Registration Board (ARB). During these investigations, Ellen interviews witnesses and drafts statements on their behalf, and liaises with various other parties, such as expert witnesses and the police.
Ellen obtained her undergraduate law degree from the University of Bristol. She subsequently completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) with Distinction at the University of Law.
Prior to joining Kingsley Napley, Ellen worked in the Criminal department at Steel & Shamash Solicitors.
