We also have much to celebrate – a wonderful new office, a culture which is the envy of our peers and high-profile recent successes for our clients.

Kingsley Napley LLP has seen a 17% increase in revenues in the last year, recording a turnover of c.£55.2m for financial year end April 2022, the highest in its history.

The firm embarked on an ambitious new growth strategy in 2021 and as part of this has substantially expanded the partnership over the last year by 25% to 75 partners today. The growth strategy is a process which is still in its early stages.

Total profit was up 7% year on year at approximately £15.5m. The firm has invested heavily in fee-earning talent1, in support services including BD & Marketing, HR and IT functions, and there were increased costs associated with Kingsley Napley’s move last summer into its new state-of the-art Bonhill office and new client technology. Consequently, average profits-per-equity partner were down at an estimated £335k.

Kingsley Napley’s Managing Partner Linda Woolley comments:

“We are delighted with these results which reflect the hard work of our people and show our growth plan is bearing fruit.

“We saw increased revenues in the majority of areas of our business in the last financial year. The performance of our Criminal Litigation, Dispute Resolution, Immigration, Real Estate and Family & Divorce practice areas recorded particularly impressive results.

"It is pleasing that our revenues and overall profit have improved materially year on year. Other measures reflect that we are in an investment phase in talent and infrastructure to support our growth ambitions.

"We also have much to celebrate – a wonderful new office, a culture which is the envy of our peers and high-profile recent successes for our clients. Our positive story has been recognized in numerous awards, notably by Best Companies, Chambers, Spears and by The Lawyer.

"I am confident we will continue on our upward trajectory and see substantial revenue and profit increases in the year ahead.”

The firm is targeting revenue in the range of £65-70m in the year ahead, plans further new partner hires in 2022, has a healthy client pipeline and expects significant increases in profit in the coming financial year.

Kingsley Napley’s revenues for 2020/21 were £47.1m; net profit was £6.55m whilst PEP was £390k.
