Improving patient safety by learning from mistakes: The Cappuccini Test
Yesterday, Kate Rohde, Partner in the Clinical Negligence team was interviewed by ITV Meridien alongside former client Tom Cappuccini and Dr. David Bogod following the launch of the Cappuccini Test last month.
to be able to not say this is audit rule number B57 on page 17, but to be able to say this is the Cappuccini Test, this is a test that if it had been there would have saved the life of a young mum , is really actually very compelling as a teaching aid apart from anything else."
Dr David Bogod is the consultant anaesthetist who developed the test which aims to prevent the recurrence of the events that led up to Frances's death and is named after her in her memory.
Kate Rohde is a Partner in the Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury department and an experienced specialist in clinical negligence claims of all types, often acting for bereaved families or on behalf of children and adults who have suffered permanent and profound injuries.
