Supporting You In Dealing With Trauma Why Trauma-Informed Lawyering is Crucial
Eurydice Cote
Two Solicitor friends of mine recently asked me to sign their applications to register with the Law Society of Ireland. I asked them if they were thinking of moving. They weren’t, but they were making their applications “just in case, you know, because of Brexit”. This brought home to me the fear and uncertainty which abounds amongst lawyers in relation to the implications Brexit may have upon their rights to practice in the EU.
We are still a long way from the finish line but at least with the publication of the Great Repeal Bill: White Paper (“the White Paper”) we have some clarity about the future course of UK domestic law. This blog by Iain Miller is directed at the position in relation to the regulation of law firms.
This week the Law Society published its paper on the impact of Brexit on the legal services market entitled: “Brexit and the Law”
