The team has acted on a range of disputes relating to possession claims, including:
Advising an energy plc on the threat from climate change protestors to its coal-fired power station in Kent, preparing anticipatory court proceedings, coordinating with sheriffs and security over the weekend to ensure the site remained secure and the power station’s operations remained unaffected;
Acting for a landowner to obtain a possession order and injunction to recover possession from a large number of squatters of over 100 flats in a group of three blocks of flats occupied also partially by lawful tenants;
Acting for an investor in relation to a valuable West End property let to a Rent Act tenant and taking action to trial to remove the tenant due to breaches of the terms of the tenancy; and
Acting for a public landowner in relation to a multi-million pound redevelopment near Regents Park including drafting the vacant possession provisions of the agreement for lease and designing and implementing a strategy for obtaining vacant possession of residential and commercial blocks occupied by businesses, students, private individuals and hotel staff.
