Court of Protection claim

Our client was appointed as the Deputy for a protected party whose son was alleged to have abused his power of attorney to access his father’s bank accounts and transfer his father’s property into his own name. Our client instructed us to assist in the recovery of those assets having obtained an Order in the Court of Protection that she was able to take whatever steps were required (including commencing proceedings in the High Court) in order to do so.

We were successful in securing the return of the majority of the protected parties assets and put in a place a statutory will to ensure that when he died they would be divided equally between each of his three children.
