Should staff be compelled to have the COVID-19 vaccine?
We acted for a client who had fallen victim to fraud in relation to the completion of a property purchase. Our client had sent details of his bank account to the managing partner of the firm of conveyancing solicitors he was instructing in relation to the transaction but the email was intercepted by a fraudster who subsequently directed that the monies be transferred to a fraudulent account.
We intimated a claim for professional negligence against the firm acting for our client in the property transaction premised primarily on its failure to maintain adequate IT systems and were subsequently successful in recovering a large proportion of the monies lost without the need to issue court proceedings.
